About UH OH
UH OH is an independently maintained browser game: ten awkward situations, one player-written sentence at a time. It explores a simple mechanic—AI evaluates the meaning of an action, and the game decides its consequence.
Project and sources
The game is maintained by kaibuildsai. This website is the source for the current rules and worked examples. The examples include their recording date and model version so readers can distinguish an observation from a promise.
UH OH uses Jev by TypeSafe for semantic judgments. It is an independent project, not an official TypeSafe product. See the Jev use case and TypeSafe’s introduction to Jev.
What is included
Eight culture packs: English (US), Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), French and German. Each has ten scenarios. The game is free to play without an account.
